After the Party Is Over…
Last week, our Smoke Shop in St. Petersburg, Florida was privileged to host Nathan Miers, “N8” for “N8’s Ghostly Galaxies”. What an amazing event and what an impressive collection of custom glass pipes , spoons, sherlocks and marbles! The VIP’s that kicked off the party came from all over, some even flying in to attend and have the opportunity to purchase an original custom glass pipe and other glass pieces created by Nathan just for the event. What was immediately evident is how much these collectors mean to Nathan and how much they respect him and his work. Long known for his “Space” work, Nathan created beautiful atom smashers, minitubes, collabs with both Harold Cooney and Darby Holm, marbles and glass pendants. Nathan loves to spend time with his devoted collectors and that was evident by the excitement, laughter and story-telling. Buying a custom glass pipe, handmade pipe or any accessory is enhanced when you can hear the backstory of how the piece was created, and what the inspiration was for the artist. Watching the artist sign your tobacco pipe or pelican just adds value to an already incredible experience.

Fourward Glass Gallery and Smoke Shop takes great pride in our customer service and these “Meet and Greets” with glass artists showcase how we are able to enhance the buying experience. Every VIP received “swag” from both N8 and Fourward Glass that included shirts, event and N8’s mood mats, a hat, sticker kits, signed event poster, a beautiful book featuring some of N8’s work,
$100 toward an event purchase and a custom carry bag. Appetizers, desserts, beer, wine and soda was also offered to both the VIPs and then to the General Public once the VIP party was over.

Our goal is to continue to bring in custom glass work by holding more of these events throughout the year. The holidays are upon us so look for special sales and a holiday open house. Remember that we also have decorative glass for sale such as plates for a wall or tabletop, vases, goblets, pendants and beautiful custom glass ornaments that can be hung from a tree or in a window.
We are also offering our “Layaway For Locals” program that is particularly helpful this time of year. A 20% non-refundable deposit will hold your purchase while you make payments. This is a great way to stretch your dollar, make that favorite piece more affordable and gives you piece of mind that whatever you have your eye on will not be sold to someone else.
